Trust through Community Planning: Discussion of HALA/MHA Process & Initiatives

We have entrusted our public officials to establish development guidelines that match our values and reflect the needs of our communities. This program is intended to be a report to community and a conduit for city staff in leadership roles and the public that they serve.

We are bringing together the community to hear from Seattle’s Office of Planning and Community Development (OPCD) regarding investments, growth, and protection of our communities and neighborhood identity. We have composed a panel to present an update on upzoning throughout Seattle, discuss potential impacts, and report on how we are doing within the context of the Housing Affordability & Livability Agenda (HALA) and the Mandatory Housing Affordability (MHA) policy. Program will include a facilitated question and answer session where practitioners and members of the general public can ask questions about planning and built environment issues that affect their neighborhoods and the communities in which they live and work.

This program is presented free of charge by the Diversity Roundtable committee of AIA Seattle, as part of Seattle Design Festival.
