Professional Practice

The Professional Practice Steering Committee guides the chapter’s educational short-programming and serves as a liaison between the AIA Seattle Board and the organization’s member-led Committees.

WHAT WE DO

The Professional Practice Steering Committee oversees a range of committee and education activities, including short programs and site visits. The intent is to:

  • align activities with the goals and resources identified in the Strategic Plan
  • promote educational excellence
  • provide stronger dialogue and engagement within and between member committees
  • leverage the expertise of our CAPs and other allied professionals

The Professional Practice Steering Committee serves AIA Seattle’s Profession vision.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

The Professional Practice Steering Committee is comprised of a diverse group of practitioners, who meet monthly to review applications for educational programs, review program evaluations, and set goals for future professional education programming. Steering Committee members are appointed by the Board President.
