What are the 21st century issues for the built environment and what are we doing to solve them? How can we engage the public, policy makers and business leaders in those solutions?
AIA Seattle and the Seattle Architecture Foundation (SAF) are jointly exploring the possibility of a new urban center for architecture and design to serve the Puget Sound region. Following successful models in cities around the world, from Copenhagen to New York, AIA and SAF hope to create a space dedicated to discussion about and improvement of our built environment .
AIA Seattle is a founding member of the Association of Architecture Organizations, a creative network of like-minded architecture organizations and enthusiasts.

Mission
The center will be a laboratory of ideas and action for a better city, providing a highly visible place of common ground for the region’s business, government and citizen leaders to come together in fruitful, forward-thinking conversation. Through programs, exhibitions, research, and publications, the center will serve as the place for information and resources on the built environment, promoting innovation in our region and setting the international standard for civic engagement in shaping community.
