Architects design Gingerbread Village

Gingerbread Village
Seattle Sheraton Hotel and Towers, 1400 Sixth Avenue
through December 25, 2001

Edible architecture takes center stage at the ninth annual Gingerbread Village at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel and Towers, sponsored by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

This year's village features compositions in load-bearing cookie dough and icing by the following AIA Seattle Affiliated Practices:

From Dr. Jose Rizal Park on a cool Saturday afternoon, attendees could watch the Blue Angels making picturesque arcs over the Seattle downtown skyline - and chat with elected leaders about how that skyline might change. What vision of our region's future will take form in the decisions we face, today and in the years to come?
