The flexible city.

From parklets to guerrilla gardens, spontaneous artworks and gatherings to temporary infill, the last 5 years have seen an explosion of design action within our cities. This "movement", while loose and poorly connected, has influenced our civic culture as public funding has declined, and citizens are becoming an active participant in how we define our urban space.

This two-month exhibit and series of events at AIA Seattle will showcase temporary design actions from around the world and explore how Seattle might do the same. Presented by Trevor Dykstra, Assoc. AIA.
