Container Architecture Exhibit

An alternative approach to prefabricated building from around the world

Exploring a widespread recent development in architecture, the Container Architecture Exhibit showcases images of the highest-profile realized shipping container projects from all over the globe.

Container architecture is an alternative approach to prefabricated building; it’s quick, low cost, and offers custom, eco-friendly solutions. Demonstrating the many uses of containers in the built environment, the exhibit demonstrates that quality architecture isn’t about what materials you build with but how you use them.

The exhibition features projects of the Seattle company Hybrid Architecture along with the work of eighteen other designers. One of the designers, Jure Kotnik of Slovenia, also curated the exhibition, which opened at the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana.
