AIA Seattle provides the architectural community with resources and relationships to make a difference through design. Through a wide range of programs and services to the public and the profession, we encourage design excellence, advocate sustainable building practice, and improve the practice of architecture.
The AIA+2030 Series is a 40-hour professional education program that helps design professionals create buildings that meet the ambitious energy efficiency goals of the 2030 Challenge. The program was developed in collaboration with Architecture 2030, Better Bricks, and the City of Seattle. Based on its local success, AIA Seattle and its partners plan to replicate the program at AIA chapters across the country, using the program as a platform to significantly impact climate change and position Northwest architects and designers as leaders on energy and carbon issues
The AIA+2030 Program Manager is a mid-level position responsible for development of a national syndication and funding plan, as well as continued delivery of the AIA+2030 program to a Seattle audience. This position is part-time, 30 hours per week, and is funded for one year, with the possibility of long-term employment if the program is successful.
