Saturday Seminar: How to Select & Work with an Architect

Need an Architect? AIA Seattle’s Saturday Seminar can help answer this and other FAQs about what architects and clients can achieve together, and how to get the best value for your investment.

Anna Mihkels AIA, LEED AP,
Anna Mihkels AIA was first attracted to architecture because it blends making and art. Every project presents a new opportunity to explore space making. Anna favors simple design solutions that have a twist of the unexpected, that are fun yet considered, making space that feels right, and real. She has a master in Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania, is licensed in the State of Washington and is LEED accredited.

John DeForest AIA
A native Seattleite, John DeForest received architectural degrees from Yale University and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. DeForest Architects+ is known for innovative design that “plays well with others.” From modern remodels and new homes to small commercial and multifamily projects, the firm’s unique hands-on, collaborative process leads to inspired designs that combine close attention to client needs with creativity and common sense. The firm has been named one of the top architects in the NW for the last three years and been featured in Dwell and numerous other books and magazines.
