Futurewise and its partners, GGLO, AIA Seattle, and Transportation Choices Coalition, invite you to a special celebration to launch the Blueprint for Transit-Oriented Communities program.

The notion of transit-oriented communities (TOC) suggests that we should look holistically at the built form and function of transit station neighborhoods. Station area planning for transit-oriented communities must integrate land use, transportation, and housing policy to promote and support vibrant mixed-use neighborhoods where residents, employees, and visitors can walk, bicycle, or take transit to reach their destinations. Blueprint will engage citizens and key community stakeholders on TOC land use patterns and their subsequent and positive impacts on social and environmental sustainibility.

Please join us at a happy hour to chat about the exciting realities of vibrant, walkable communities.  Enjoy a local beer while hearing from community leaders about their strong visions for compact urban areas and the protection of our farms, forestlands, and green space.  Then, take a short walk to the gallery opening reception at the Design Gallery at AIA Seattle and explore the debut of the Blueprint exhibit.
