Worldchanging joins IIDA, ASID and AIA Seattle to host Re*Generation, a seasonal education salon on Tuesdays from 4-6pm with associated happy hour from 6-8pm. A locally celebrated pioneer invites one of their mentor’s and a next generation leader to combine one practical presentation with a philosophical discussion.
Note: Seattle Art Museum has generously invited the Regeneration event guests to attend the museum the day of the event. Please pick up your ticket when you check-in at the Arnold Board Room. After our event the museum will be open until 9pm so plan on enjoying the collection after the conversation cocktail.

Architect & Sustainable Design Initiative leader, Perkins + Will
Amanda Sturgeon AIA, LEED® AP is a Senior Associate and the co-director of the sustainable design initiative nationally for Perkins+Will. Amanda’s expertise on sustainable building includes: teaching sustainable design at the University of Washington, the first LEED Platinum project in Washington State as well as being a founding board member of the Cascadia Region Green Building Council. Amanda is currently leading the sustainable task force on the AIA Seattle board. Receiving the Betterbricks Architect award in 2008, she was recently elected to the USGBC Greenbuild Program committee.

Kevin is a Professional Engineer in 6 states in North America also the UK in addition to his duties at Integral Engineering, a national engineering firm that is committed to DEEP GREEN strategies. He is building the Integral team to explicitly deliver on the current needs of the profession both locally and globally. Kevin is a long-time leader in the field of sustainability in North America and abroad. Over the past decade he has gained a reputation as both an innovator as engineer and also a pioneer as green business leader, creating transformative strategies as President of Keen Engineering and Vice President of Stantec.
Fulton (Tony) Gale III, FAIA
Starbucks Corporate Architect & Leader of their international High Performance Building Team
Tony is a member of the USGBC’s Board of Directors, was Seattle City Architect under Mayors Paul Schell and Greg Nickels and practiced internationally as a principal owner of two award winning architectural firms. As chair of the AIA WA Council: Sustainable Design Resource Group he helped lead the successful passing in April 2005 of the first statewide law in the nation requiring state-funded buildings be designed and built to LEED Silver or comparable ‘green building’ standards (SB 5509). At Starbucks his team is now implementing their green store program aiming to have all new stores 3rd party green certified globally by December 2010. Tony was recently appointed to the editorial board of the AIA/Seattle Forum magazine.
