50>>50 is a how-to resource developed by AIA, intended to assist architects and the construction industry in meeting the 2030 Challenge goal of a minimum 50% reduction of fossil fuel consumption in buildings by 2010 and carbon neutrality by 2030.  This workshop is the second in the 50>>50 series and focuses on ventilation design strategies that are responsive to climate, integrative in process, and synergistic in result.  Natural ventilation, mechanical systems, and mixed mode strategies will be discussed, not in the abstract, but at a level of detail necessary for architects to work successfully with mechanical engineering sub-consultants.  Workshop attendees are encouraged to review the strategies 5, 11, 28, 30 and 35¬ in the 50>>50 Strategies document prior to the workshop – and encourage mechanical engineering colleagues to attend with you.
