The Case for Regionalism: Picking up where the 2007 Honor Awrds jury left off, consider northwest regionalism. Is it a restrictive "local idiom" from which architecture must "liberate itself", or is it a way of thinking, open to multiple experssions? Considering the deep-rooted esteem given northwest regionalism, canarchitects who are not from this region get any respect?
