AIA Seattle and the AIA Seattle Honor Awards Committee invite participation of all design and building professionals and friends of architecture in an exploration of design excellence as expressed in more than 150 entries in the 55th annual AIA Seattle Honor Awards program. Review of entries culminates in an interactive presentation with jury members Ed Feiner FAIA, Margaret Helfand FAIA, James Timberlake FAIA, and Moderator Daniel S. Friedman PhD FAIA on Monday evening November 6 at at McCaw Hall, Seattle Center (doors open 6pm).

The Honor Awards program, Living Change: architecture enriching human experience, has received more than 150 entries of both Completed and Not Yet Built (NYB) projects from Washington-licensed architects; and for a 'Living Change' Pecha Kucha* element open to designers of all disciplines and backgrounds, with key support provided by ARUP.

*About/Tips for Pecha Kucha: The Japanese term "Pecha Kucha" roughly translates as "chit-chat." Participants in Pecha Kucha share work and ideas through an accelerated presentation of imagery – via 12 images, 20 seconds per image, over a period of no more than four minutes. Pecha Kucha, originated at Klein Dytham architecture (Tokyo) manifests the intention to draw creative people together, and centers around the importance of blurring the boundaries between design disciplines to broaden, engage, and inspire.
