2007 Honor Award: Award of Merit
The skills of architects and design professionals play a major role in the cultural and civic life of our communities; but it takes a rare commitment to run for and serve in elected office.
Washington State and local communities in Washington have had – and currently have – the benefit of architects' active engagement in government. During October 2003, AIA Seattle programs will focus on the meaning of design leadership, including conversations with recent and current examplars.
