Cities across Puget Sound and the Northwest are seeking new and compelling models for their urban waterfronts. Our communities will benefit greatly from the work of architects and design professionals who have tackled similar challenges around the world.
Help us guide these critical decisions about our urban waterfronts.
AIA Seattle seeks examples of innovative waterfront design projects, both built and imagined, from the US and beyond, and tell the stories of the community effort and political will that made them possible.
These exemplary models will be included in compelling publication and traveling exhibition, reviewed and selected by a jury of design-oriented Mayors and Council Members from the region. More importantly, AIA Seattle will leverage the designs to inspire and generate dialogue as part of a community-level campaign focused on the viaduct and other waterfront design issues in our region.
ELIGIBILITY
AIA seeks projects, both real and imagined, demonstrating innovation in urban waterfront design. Individuals or teams practicing or studying either in the US or abroad are encouraged to submit.
