Design Dialog
Northwest Regionalism
DEAD OR ALIVE?

4:30-6pm at NBBJ (223 Yale Avenue North, Seattle)

This year’s event is an opportunity to examine the selection process of the AIA Seattle Honor Awards and use them to discuss the relevancy of regionalism in Pacific Northwest architecture. Given the growing international culture of modern Seattle, is regional architecture still relevant to our area?

Join us for a dialog between panelists and audience members as we discuss what regionalism means to northwest designers and community members, and if it even matters anymore. Our panel includes Daniel S. Friedman PhD, FAIA, designers recognized in the AIA Seattle Honor Awards, and moderator Steve McConnell FAIA, Honor Awards Committee Chair.

This event is hosted by AIA Seattle Committee on Design, AIAS-UW, NBBJ, UW College of Architecture and Urban Planning, UW Department of Architecture, and the UW Architecture Professional Advisory Council. <!-- #EndEditable -->
