Design Dialog 2006:
The Desirability of Architecture

This year's Dialog will explore the linkage between architectural education and practice in light of recent trends such as outsourcing, new technologies, and declining rates of architecture graduates seeking licensure (per AIA's recent survey of professional demographic data). The panelists - students, interns and design professionals in education and practice - will discuss their experiences and expectations.

This dialog will open a timely examination of our profession's desirability among students and young graduates, as well as the correlation between design studio and professional practice.

Moderator: Jeffrey Bates AIA
Featured Panelists:

. Alex T. Anderson, UW Dept. of Architecture Graduate Program Coordinator
