In June 1997, The Seattle Times and AIA Seattle produced the first annual "Housing the Northwest" feature. The June Open House advances the spirit of the 50-year-old Seattle Times/AIA Open House program, but expresses a range of housing choices beyond the single-family residence – and the collaborative achievements of owners/developers, architects, builders, community members and agencies that make them possible.
