AIA Seattle plays an important role in cultural and economic life of our region. It serves the profession and the community through its wide range of outreach, education and advocacy programs. My participation in AIA Seattle activities has given me the opportunity to understand the intrinsic value of our organization. In seeking election as an officer of the Board, my goal is to support the mission of AIA Seattle and increase awareness of our component's contributions among architects, allied professionals, related businesses, and the public-at-large.

Looking ahead to the possibility of serving as AIA Seattle President in 2006-2007, my focus will be to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the celebration of the AIA's Sesquicentennial, joining forces with our colleagues across the nation in creating a memorable expression of architects' ability to serve the distinct needs of our local communities.
