The goal of the AIA Northwest Washington Section Scholarship Fund is to foster the profession of architecture through financial assistance for the education of local residents who are pursuing a Professional or Master’s degree in Architecture. Scholarships will be awarded annually, or at the discretion of the AIA Northwest Washington Steering Committee. In addition, the awards will be acknowledged on the AIA’s website, including an overview of the recipient’s interests and goals in the field of architecture.

The application process is open to all residents (inclusive of students with immediate family) of Whatcom, Skagit, Island, San Juan, and northern Snohomish counties who are enrolled in an accredited School of Architecture, or who have applied, or intend to apply to a School of Architecture, regardless of location.  Schools of Architecture must be accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
