Bellevue City Hall Tour

This project transformed an old, outdated building into a state-of-the-art civic structure for the city of Bellevue. All city departments are now housed under one roof including the technically specialized functions of the police department and the city's emergency response infrastructure. The design artfully interweaves these highly functional concerns with generous and elegant public spaces that welcome citizens to participate in their government. The design includes a major public plaza with a 400-car, 3-level parking garage below that connects the existing building back to Bellevue's transit and pedestrian mall. Detailed department space planning was completed for city hall and public safety functions as well as layout, selection and specifications for open office work stations for 900 employees.
