Re-thinking Design for Energy Performance

Presenter: Doug Bors, BetterBricks
Integrated Design is a process that can be widely applied across many elements important to building development. It is this wide applicability which makes it attractive to designers interested in sustainable or environmentally sound design, where multiple elements are considered interactively. Beyond this integrated process transformation in the practice of architecture is a new frontier that “re-thinks” design to realize ambitious sustainability and energy efficiency goals such as the 2030 Challenge. This program will specifically focus on how that re-thinking process can enhance the energy performance of a building without compromising other needs.
