Honor Awards 2008

What do you think of when you imagine ‘great architecture’? Grand staircases? Soaring rooftops? Perhaps something you might find in a glossy magazine? What about energy efficiency, the building’s connection to the community, or even architecture’s ability to transform the world we live in? Through the Honor Awards program, AIA Seattle explores what great architecture really means and expand the dialogue and diversity of architectural achievements, values and standards of excellence.

Perform/Transform Statement
Our work must perform technically, aesthetically and humanistically. Our practice must transform itself in response. This year’s awards program explores this transformation and celebrates excellent performance. Review of entries will culminate in a presentation by jury members at Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle on Monday evening, November 3.
