Jim Bedrick AIA, Webcor Builders Jim Bedrick, AIA, is Director of Systems Integration for Webcor Builders, a major California general contractor. He has over 25 years' experience in the AEC industry, including architectural practice, facilities management, construction, and design and management of information systems. He is the 2005 chair of the AIA's Technology in Architectural Practice advisory group. Tom Bongi, XL Insurance Tom Bongi is a licensed attorney and Director of Industry Relations for XL Design Professional, one of the largest insurers of design professionals in North America. He previously worked as a claim supervisor for XLDP and its predecessor, DPIC Companies, where Tom handled over 1500 claims against engineers and architects. Prior to that, Tom practiced law with a major San Francisco law firm for eight years. His practice was limited to the defense of professionals - mostly design professionals. He has represented design professionals in over three hundred mediations, arbitrations and trials.
