I am honored and proud to be asked to continue to serve our profession as the 110th President of AIA Seattle - the nation's fifth largest AIA component. In representing the views of our membership, both locally and nationally, the Board has an incredible responsibility:
To be role models and ambassadors of our profession to other design disciplines as well as to the broader community.
To highlight the impact of good design on the quality of life for each and every individual.
To provide a public forum for the contribution of our problem solving skills and ability to build consensus in the creation of livable communities.
Over the next year I look forward to working with the membership of AIA and continuing the dialog to advance our profession's advocacy for issues that impact the quality of our built environment as well as our profession.
