Tim Jewett AIA

For AIA Seattle Director (3-year term)

As a partner in Dykeman Architects I have come to value the role of the AIA in developing graduate architects and interns into adept designers and well-rounded architects. Personally I value the role that the AIA has had in my development as an architect. My contact with Dykeman started through the AIA in 1988. After graduate school a job book posting led to 5 years of internship in an amazing small office.

With the civic development in Everett burgeoning the development of Everett into a lively city seems to be at hand. With all of the opportunities and pitfalls this development entails the AIA and the profession have a great opportunity to positively impact the development of Everett into a vibrant urban center. The adage that growth is coming like it or not is extremely appropriate. I am very interested in how the AIA can serve this process.

AIA Seattle has shown leadership in the past on the issues of Intern Development and Urban Development. As a Director I will endeavor to contribute and support the role of the AIA in these activities.

I appreciate the opportunity to serve AIA Seattle and the professional community.
